Does your company fix foundation wall cracks?
Absolutely! We take great pride in quality injection wall waterproofing. Cracks can be pesky, but our high quality and honest approach will leave your basement dry and your pocket satisfied. We have the best prices in the business and will beat any competitor.
How will I know if the crack in the basement will produce water?
Our “No hassle” and honest approach to basement waterproofing will keep you from spending unnecessary money. Our owner, Anthony, makes sure to provide all options available to our clients to help them make an educated decision. A quick do-it-yourself or preventative care may all that’s necessary to keep your basement dry. However, if you already have a leaky basement then action will likely need to be taken. Still unsure? That’s alright. We will visit and provide FREE ESTIMATES!!! So there is no reason to wonder...all you need to do is call and ask Anthony @ 586-864-2090
Is it better to fix from the inside or outside of the basement?
We try to avoid digging from the outside by any means necessary. French drain tile jobs for block basements are done inside. Our wall stabilization is also done from the inside. Leaks are from the interior. Rarely is there an occurrence where we dig up the yard alongside the home. It does happen, but it is usually our last resort.
What materials do you use?
That all depends on our client's preference and the job at hand. We have several options for almost every situation. All with the highest quality and the fairest price.
NEW CONSTRUCTION: We can use insulation board to insulate and waterproof. However, the most popular product is Hydro-guard. A black, "bubble-like" surface that keeps the pressure of a harsh rainfall off the exterior foundation.
RESIDENTIAL: We will use the Hydro-guard on interior walls of drain tiles jobs. We have several options of the highest quality injections for the common residential foundation cracks. Both are important to prevent major flooding in your basement in Southeast Michigan.
What sets your Basement Waterproofing company apart from the others?
So many things. We use the highest quality products and are able to keep the prices low because of efficient work, and trusted partners. Anthony makes sure he will “Fix it right the first time,” because our lifetime warranty is important to us. If we don’t then time and money is wasted. A & M Basement Waterproofing has survived off referrals for over 30 years, and never needed to spend on advertising.
There is no better marketing plan than “Word of mouth.” There are many times where we only need to provide advice, and not a service. Unnecessarily charging our A & M clients has proven our track record of honesty and integrity. It’s the only way we know how to do business.
There are many other things that set up apart from the rest. When you are shopping waterproofing companies, we encourage the people we meet to see for themselves.
Finally, we guide you through the entire process to ensure your confidence in our performance. We want you to be happy with our work, and tell your friends and family that A & M Basement Waterproofing is the best waterproofing company in Southeast Michigan!
Is there a warranty on basement waterproofing services?
A LIFETIME WARRANTY on the work we’ve done. If the impossible happens and our work doesn’t meet perfect satisfaction Anthony will come back and make sure the water stops.
Just remember, “We fix it right the first time is our motto” for a reason.
Do you have opportunities for work or partnerships?
We take care of those who take care of us. We have partnerships with inspectors, construction companies, and basement remodelers, among others. We are in several networking communities that have shown excellent support. That will soon be placed on a "Partners" page.
Interested in teaming up? Interested in potential and future job opportunities? We will always listen to ideas for company growth and personal growth. Email below!

What is the American Dream? Are you living it?
Many people will envision financial wealth, cool toys, and several super/underwear models as we sip Margaritas on our yacht. We at A& M Basement Waterproofing don’t hate that thought. Peace is found in many ways, and those things would certainly give the most honest people a clear conscious. But is that the true American Dream?
Maybe The American Dream is nothing but propaganda. It could feed hope to the fallen, and excuses to the cynics. Maybe it is something we tell ourselves to make all of us feel better. Honestly, I think the America Dream is something we subconsciously put on a pedestal. It is not a defined thing. It is not an award or thank you letter of achievement from your president. It’s all in our head. Not to say the American Dream doesn’t exist, because it most certainly does. But what is the American Dream for us will likely be completely different for you. Simply, The American Dream is all about perspective.
The problem with perspective in America is that it is constantly being manipulated and glorified in the media. Many of us swoon in our search for the perfect mate, the perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect life. But what is what the media tells us perfect? Is having the attention seeking life of Kim Kardashian perfect? Maybe for some. Is being like LeBron James or Peyton Manning what people need to have to secure The American Dream? Not realistically, nor likely…but WE’RE ALL wide-eyed teens that seek fortune that the media indicates to us is perfect. Maybe that makes us lose perspective. We forget what truly matters in life. We forget where we’ve been and the progress we’re making because “We want that!”
A & M is a small business. We were founded on the hope that the American Dream would supply us with sustenance and riches that would take care of our family. Perhaps we find a niche, and provide something that no other company can provide or something valuable to our clients. Maybe people will love our service because we provide it efficiently with our costs and quality. We’ve been in the business for 30 plus years, and have thrived off knowledge, honesty and integrity. For the founders who started the company; we owe a huge amount of gratitude. They've set the standard for our company and we’ve taken his American Dream of providing for his family and taken it for our own…which was their plan. The current owner, Anthony, has taken their dream and has sacrificed to make sure the tradition is carried on. Regardless of what happens from this moment on, A & M will forever be thankful for the path set out by the founders. Anthony (Whom may deserve more accolades than anyone I’ve ever met) deserves the torch handed to him, and has built a quality foundation of business that has held strong.
WHAT THE AMERICAN DREAM MEANS TO US
To us, the American Dream means having your family over for a party on Sunday night. It means hanging out with your infant nephew, or going to your niece’s recital. It means being a 72 year old retired autoworker having a Saturday brunch at his favorite diner or the wife who looks forward to his “I missed you” kiss every time he returns. The same brunch and kiss he’s embraced for the last 22 years. It is the home run your son hits in little league. It is the man in his 50’s that worked his entire life to see his daughter trot off to college with the largest smile on her face. It is the feeling of looking to the sky and wondering “what is out there.” It is the “That cloud looks like a plane.” It is the, “One day I’m going to become a famous writer”…or “I can’t wait to be a mommy.” The American Dream is whatever you want to make it...but you need to make it. ...so make it, and believe in it.
We at A & M wish you a Happy Independence Day, and to please remember your American Dream.
LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT to worry about “what ifs” and “what could have beens.”Be good to those around you. On this BEAUTIFUL DAY IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN we ask that you remember the American Dream. We ask you to remember that you only have one life and to make it the best you possibly can. Please reach for what you feel you deserve and look out for those that believe in you.
Thank you for your eyes and attention. Be safe this weekend and remember…We fix it right the first time.

Happy summer A & M family! We hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather in Southeast Michigan. While we know that everyday isn't always crystal clear, there are things that you can do to keep a simple rainy day from turning into a flooded basement disaster.
1. Semi-annual inspection
Most homeowners never realize they have a problem until it is too late. We should all be Inspecting our foundation walls and floor at least twice a year. Look for changes in the foundation. Not all cracks are vital to fix immediately, but monitoring their size and growth is crucial. Signs of leaks, seepages and cracks should be noted. If you are unsure then take advange of A & M Basement Waterproofing's FREE VISIT, CONSULTATION and ESTIMATES. Catching a problem spot early could mean a savings of thousands of dollars in your pocket. We may be the highest quality waterproofing company in SE Michigan while having the lowest costs...but savings is savings no matter how you add it up. Keeping a consistent eye on your basement is the best way to prevent disaster.
2. Check your sump pump and sump pit
Your sump pump is the most important part of your basement drainage system. Michigan and mother nature may be beautiful, but they can also be harsh...especially the winters. Without a working sump pump the water from the storms can cause damage and create very serious problems. The main thing to search for on your sump pump is corrosion or build up. Also, check for any debris that has fallen in the pit. We all use our basement for storage, and if the pit is not covered or enclosed then things will find their way in there.
3. Inspect your exterior walls/foundation
We try to stay inside when taking care of your basement. Digging outside is costly and challenging. However, the exterior can tell us a lot about the interior and significant problem areas in the basement. Walk around your home and check your exterior walls. Sloping away from your home allows water to drain away from the foundation walls. The windows and gutters installation is also vital when checking the exterior. Downspouts not properly directing water away from the home can cause a barrage of water funneling all the water from the roof to one localized spot on your foudnation. Make sure the gutters and spouts are clear. If your gutter downspouts go into an underground system, it is important that the pipes are fitted properly and draining into the underground line. Poorly installed windows can also be a nightmare.
These are simple steps that you can do today. If there are any concerns then don't hesitate to call Anthony @ 586-864-2090. He will give you an honest opinion of how you should approach the care of your basement.
Thank you! Keep checking those basements and don't forget, "We fix it right the first time!"

Our motto is “We fix it right the first time.”
The value of that phrase is higher than ever. Over the past month alone we have had at approximately 15 jobs that were a follow up on another basement waterproofer's work. All within the Oakland and Macomb, MI areas. The damage has ranged from repairing basement leaks because of poorly filled cracks to shoddy drain tile work.
We will never talk negatively about a specific competitor, but we will emphasize how important it is to research and ask questions during the search for a waterproofing professional. A & M Basement Waterproofing is awarded 90% of our estimates because of our honesty, and QUALITY of work. No one can beat our CRACK or DRAIN TILE prices either. That has kept our clients happily referring us to their friends and neighbors.
We also have a LIFETIME WARRANTY which will protect you on the highly unlikely possibility that our work… doesn’t work. We will fix it even if it costs us. You can't lose!!! We've survived and thrived based off our quality work, and have not needed to invest in marketing. That means our work speaks for itself. We are forever grateful for our clients and reward them with the highest quality work in the industry.
It is important for us to guide our clients through the entire process to ensure confidence. We will break down our process step-by-step; before, during and even after. We guarantee you will be satisfied with our work. We take pride in what we do, and want you to be certain “We fix it right the first time.”
Thank you to our A & M friends and family from Washtenaw, Livingston, Genesee, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Lapeer county, Michigan!

The cold, snow and ice is a beautiful time of year...for about a week. After record snow and brutally painful temperatures more problems can persist. This weekend will be the PERFECT time to check your basement! The moderate temperatures this weekend will indicate any wintry abuse to your foundation. Check for signs of water intrusion. The freezing temperatures will soon return, and the water that has seeped into your foundation cracks will chill once again, slowly chiseling away at the cement.
First things first. Check your sump pump! A failed sump pump will flood your basement faster than (reply with your own hilarious anecdote in the comment section) a cheetah that used Red Bull instead of water when brewing his coffee.
Check the walls. Do you notice any new or expanding cracks? It is wise to give attention now as opposed to waiting for a disaster to happen.
Anthony at A & M Basement Waterproofing can save further damage from your basement.
He provides a FREE estimate and is completely honest with his advice and services. 586-864-2090.
